FAQs

What is your return policy?

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase (or the purchasing process), please get in touch with me right away, and I will do whatever I can to make it right. Although the perfectionist in me hates to admit it, I AM new at this, so I have to account for the fact that there may be some small snafus as I get started.

If you would like to RETURN your piece, please let me know within 14 days of receiving it and send it back so I receive it within 30 days. I will issue you a REFUND upon receiving the merchandise. The return shipping cost, however, will be your responsibility.

May I return a custom piece?

I will work closely with you throughout the design process to ensure that I am able to translate your vision into a beautiful piece of jewelry that you (or the recipient) will treasure forever. In the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with the finished piece and really don’t want it; you may send it back, and I will refund you the balance once I receive the piece.  I will, however, keep your initial deposit as payment for the time I invested in the project.

What if my piece of jewelry breaks?

I guarantee my jewelry for one year.  If your piece breaks within a year of purchase, and you don't feel that you did anything out of the ordinary to cause it to break, TRY TO KEEP ALL OF THE BEADS. Send them back to me and I will fix it for you at no charge (and refund your shipping cost for sending them). Otherwise, you can send the beads back to me and I can issue you a full refund. If something breaks and you can't find all (or most) of the beads, just get in touch with me and we will work something out. I want to make sure all of my customers are happy!

How should I clean and care for my jewelry?

To freshen your jewelry from day-to-day wear, gently use a soft toothbrush or cloth with some warm water and a drop of dish soap.

If the silver is tarnished, you may safely use a dry silver polishing cloth.  Alternatively, you may soak the jewelry for 10 minutes in an aluminum foil-lined bowl with a solution of 1 tsp. of baking soda and 1 cup of boiling water and then scrub gently with a soft toothbrush. If tarnish is particularly stubborn, add just a little water to some baking soda to make a paste and scrub gently with the toothbrush after soaking as mentioned above. I don't recommend cleaning this jewelry with harsh chemical solutions. Be gentle when polishing, and don't use any more pressure than you would use to polish a silver necklace chain. The beading wire is strong, but you shouldn't pull at it.

You should always remove your jewelry before bathing or swimming, and be sure to apply perfume or hairspray BEFORE you put on your jewelry.

To clear the energy of the gemstones, I recommend using sage smoke (also called "smudging").

The best way to keep a piece of silver jewelry from tarnishing is to keep it in a sealed plastic bag with an anti-tarnish strip in it.

Gold-plated or gold vermeil jewelry is less likely to tarnish than silver, but all of the above mentioned methods are safe to use with gold as well.
